10 years ago, Bibiana and Jeff set out to create something together. This would be a wine label dedicated to exceptional and age-worthy Sauvignon Blanc. The goal from the outset was to gain inspiration from two famed regions in France that produce noteworthy styles of this wine: Bordeaux and the Loire Valley (home to Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé). The resulting wines would be Les leçons des maîtres and Les pierres qui décident. Both wines are stylistically different, but made with exacting standards that bring great wines at extremely limited production levels: Hand sorting, extremely gentle pressing, new French oak barrels, no filtering.

After ten years, we are pleased to see how well these wines age. We are also honored with the serendipitous timing to be included in a feature from the Wine Spectator about “Sauvignon Blanc, California Style.”

2021 proved to be a wonderful year for these two wines. See the tasting notes below for our insights into the wines. Production, as you may guess, is still very small. And as you know, our passion extends over to coffee! You may order or ask us about (or visit to taste) our free-trade and single-origin coffee beans that we import from Colombia and roast locally in Sonoma.

We look forward to hearing from you.
